Adapting Fleming-Type Learning Style Classifications to Deaf Student Behavior

چکیده
This study presents the development of a novel integrated data fusion and assimilation technique to classify learning experiences patterns among deaf students using Fleming’s model together with Thai Sign Language. Data were collected from hearing disabilities (Grades 7–9) studying at special schools in Khon Kaen Udon Thani, Thailand. research used six classification algorithms being resynthesized improved via application feature selection, imbalanced corrected synthetic minority oversampling technique. The collection was evaluated 10-fold validation. revealed that multi-layer perceptron algorithm yields highest accuracy. These results are intended for further studies involving problems.

Which Learning Style Do You Prefer to Improve EFL Learning?
The term "learning styles" refers to the concept that individuals differ in regard to what mode of instruction or study is most effective for them. Proponents of learningstyle assessment contend that optimal instruction requires diagnosing individuals' learning style and tailoring instruction accordingly (pashler, McDaniel, Rohrer, and Bjork, 2009). There are several methods or theories that d...
متن کاملAdapting to Student Uncertainty Improves Tutoring Dialogues
This study shows that affect-adaptive computer tutoring can significantly improve performance on learning efficiency and user satisfaction. We compare two different student uncertainty adaptations which were designed, implemented and evaluated in a controlled experiment using four versions of a wizarded spoken dialogue tutoring system: two adaptive systems used in two experimental conditions (b...
متن کاملAdapting Experiential Learning to Develop Problem-Solving Skills in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Engineering Students.
Individuals who are deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions, and this may be due in part to their level of preparation in the development and retention of mathematical and problem-solving skills. An approach was developed that incorporates experiential learning and best practices of STEM instruction to give firs...
متن کاملJump-type Fleming-viot Processes
In 1991 Perkins [7] showed that the normalized critical binary branching process is a time inhomogeneous Fleming-Viot process. In the present paper we extend this result to jump-type branching processes and we show that the normalized jump-type branching processes are in a new class of probability measure-valued processes which will be called “jump-type Fleming-Viot processes”. Furthermore we a...
متن کاملAdapting Teacher Interventions to Student Needs During Cooperative Learning: How to Improve Student Problem Solving and Time On-Task
This study tested a model of teacher interventions (TIs) conducted during cooperative learning to examine how they affected students’ subsequent time on-task (TOT) and problem solving. TIs involved groups of ninth-grade students working on an algebra problem; videotaped lessons were transcribed and analyzed. Results showed that teachers initiated most TIs and typically did so when students were...
